- How do I know which code to use:
The HTML code should work on just about any website. However, it is
NOT the best option. It uses a frame which some browsers do not
support and others have it turned off in their settings which means the
widget will not be seen. It also does not display as naturally on a
website as does the ASP or PHP. The HTML code should be used as a last
resort, if the ASP or PHP will not work.
ASP and PHP are server scripting codes. The server your website is
hosted on may or may not allow such code. If your page ends in .asp or
.php than that is a good indication that you can use the matching code.
If you are not sure, create a page on your site called asptest.asp and
phptest.php and put in the appropriate code for each page. View each
page in a web browser to see if the comment widget appears.
- I placed comments on sites but my comment does not
show up:
When you place a comment, it does not show up right away. It may not
show up for a few weeks. This is because the comment widget owner
needs to have time to review the comment and report it if they feel your
comment or your site is inappropriate. Additionally, if someone is
only displaying 5 comments, but has received 20 comments, not all the
comments can appear at the same time. They will be randomly and
periodically rotated.
